What is a Site Supervision NVQ?
A Site Supervision NVQ is a nationally recognised qualification for those working in supervisory roles within the construction industry. It proves your ability to manage teams, maintain health and safety standards, and oversee site operations effectively.
What levels of Site Supervision NVQs are available?
We offer the Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision NVQ, Level 3 Construction Contracting Operations NVQ and Level 4 Site Supervision NVQ.
Who is eligible?
These NVQs are designed for individuals already working as supervisors, assistant site managers, forepersons, or team leaders who want to gain a formal qualification while continuing to work.
Do I need any formal qualifications to start?
No formal academic qualifications are required. However, you must be in a relevant supervisory role and able to provide real site-based evidence of your experience.
How is the NVQ assessed?
Assessment is based on your day-to-day work and includes:
A portfolio of evidence (e.g. photos, documents, site records)
Professional discussions with your assessor
Observations (these are completed remotely)
You’ll be supported by an experienced NVQ assessor throughout the process.
Can I do the NVQ remotely?
Yes. Our NVQs are designed to be flexible and can be completed entirely online, making it easier to fit around your work schedule.
Will this help me get a CSCS Gold Card?
Yes. Completing a Level 3 or Level 4 Site Supervision NVQ makes you eligible to apply for the CSCS Gold Supervisory Card, once you’ve also passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test.
